1) When you are young you can party all night and you don't need a lot of sleep to recover much like having a baby up and down allllllllll night for months on end. Now in my 30's one serious night of partying takes more time to recover from than surgery.
2) Sleep... I like that shit when it happens
3) My younger body snapped back an had less pregnancy collateral damage than my slightly more seasoned one would.
4) After a few kids sneezing takes on a whole new challenge, keep the legs crossed ladies!
5) When I am 40 my oldest will be 20 which means I still get to have fun while I can remember it.
6) As a young mom I now get to refocus on my career and I know more now than I ever did in my 20' so I feel like I am a more well rounded person.
7) My kids have taught me how to just go with a situation and not get upset, kind of like when I was standing in line a few years ago and my youngest daughter said she wanted to go potty yet again
( potty training, moms will understand ) and she yanked her pants to her ankles when I said she needed to wait... The bathroom was lovely by the way, yes the mini dictator won that battle.
8) I got to kind of grow up with my kids
9) I get to ask my kids what they want to be when they grow up because I am still looking for ideas
10) Best of all I get to be a younger grandma someday - ya know when my kids are mid 20's
I am not saying being a young mom was easy, because it wasn't but I would not change it for the world!! I love my kids and I value everything they have taught me along the way and I look forward to learning lots more along the way. We all have our own path and journey to follow so don't judge someone if they were a young mom or have a few kids at the end of the day they kids grow up and move out and an awesome person is still an awesome person so please keep that in mind when you meet people. XOXO life bring on the good stuff!
